Four of Canada's internationals from the 2016 CONCACAF team won the Major Arena Soccer League championship on Sunday in Milwaukee.

With a 5-2 victory at home over Monterrey, Mexico, forwards Robert Renaud and Ian Bennett, defender Daniel Chamale, and goalkeeper Josh Lemos all lifted the Ron Newman Trophy.

Though it isn't the same game as futsal, the arena league has provided professional playing opportunities for many futsal players in both the United States and Canada, allowing players to earn money in a professional environment, while staying in good physical condition and avoid having to work full time jobs.
