Ontario is easily the top region for futsal in Canada and is recognized as one of the best in all of North America for its high quality and well run leagues. Here are some leagues you should definitely consider contacting if you are looking to play, coach, ref, or volunteer.

TORONTO FUTSAL LEAGUE

DESCRIPTION: Toronto's top futsal league is entering its 3rd season of operations. It aims to offer the best futsal technical development programs, competition, referees, and facilities in the country. The league will offer training for U4-U6's, divisions from U7-U10's, U11-U17's along with the top mens and womens divisions in Ontario. 

Sponsored by PENALTY - the elite futsal brand from Brazil - The Mens Pro League will feature the best competition in Canada, while the adult open divisions will be for those that just want to play futsal. Divisions will feature 6-12 teams. There will be cash prizes + a trip for the champions to compete against other top competition from Quebec and the US. (Mens Premier Only). Some of the best futsal players in Canada + stars from the Canadian Soccer League, CIS, and OCAA will battle for futsal supremacy.

DATES: Wednesdays & weekends. From November 2010-March 2011. Kickoff is early November.

GAMES: 14 games for youth + training session with Canadian national player or technical director.

DIVISIONS: U4-U6 (Intro to Futsal skills - mixed boys and girls), Minis (U7-10's), U11-U17, Adult open divisions + Mens Pro League.

TEAM ENTRY FEES:
U7-U10: $1250 (after September 25th - $1350)
U11-U17: $1300 (after September 25th - $1400)
Adult Open: $1400
Mens Pro: $2000 (cash prize, TV matches)

No additional ref or gym entry fees, team registration has you covered except for jerseys. A 25% deposit is required to secure a spot. Each team also receives a free 1 hour on court clinic with a National Team Player or Technical Director.

INDIVIDUAL FEES:
U4-U6: $120 (after September 25th - $140)
U7-U10: $150 (after September 25th - $170)
U11-U17: $165 (after September 25th - $185)
Adults: $165

OTTAWA CARLETON FUTSAL LEAGUE 

DESCRIPTION: The OCFL is the largest and oldest fusal league in Ontario. With close to 2000 registered players, the OCFL continues to work hard to establish the game in the reion surrounding the nation's capital. Featuring divisions from the U4-adults divisions with various skill levels the league offers something for everyone. The North Ottawa Geese mens team are the current OSA Futsal Cup Champions and the Ottawa Titans were silver medalists in the womens.

DATES: OCTOBER 2010-APRIL 2011

GAMES: 10-15 for regular season

DIVISIONS: U4, U6, U7,U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, U21, mens, womens, co-ed

LOCATIONS: Over 20+ gyms within the Ottawa/Carleton region

SUDBUY FUTSAL LEAGUE

DATES: November-April

DIVISIONS: U9/10 boys, U11 girls, Mens and Womens

LOCATIONS: Laurentian University on Saturday and Sundays, Cambrian College on Sunday afternoons, Northeastern on Tuesday and Thursdays, and Macdonald Cartier on Friday nights.

LONDON CANADIAN FUTSAL LEAGUE

DESCRIPTION: The best FIFA rules league based in the futsal-rich region of London that is surely going to get bigger year by year. With divisions being offered from U9-Masters the options for you and/or team are plenty. The LCFL also hosts the high quality London Futsal Challenge Cup Tournament in late March. They are also now part of a partnership with the Toronto Futsal League to develop the F-PIC's program which will identify the best futsal players for a series of player ID camps with in-classroom and on-court training with national team players.

DATES: November 2010-April 2010. Kickoff is November 6th.

GAMES: 15 regular season games + playoffs

DIVISIONS: U6-10, U11, U13, U15, U17, Mens Open, Masters (30+) Up to 9 players team and a minimum of 15 games

LOCATIONS: Beal SS (Sundays) 9am-8pm and Wheable SS (Saturdays) 2:30pm-7:45pm

FEES: Mini: $150 (player), Youth: $850 (team) Adult: $900 (team) Up to 9 players per team a minimum of 15 games

DURHAM REGION FUTSAL LEAGUE

DESCRIPTION: The newest league in Ontario will be operated by the Durham Region Soccer Association at the fabulous triple-gym at Durham College Sports Centre starting this fall. With an emphasis on training for the first portion followed by an 8 game season in the winter, the DRSA will be working hard to build the next generation of youth futsallers. After the 2008 OSA Futsal championship title of the Oshawa Turul U16 girls and the hugely successful Durham Region Futsal Showcase in early 2010, the sport has incredible promise in the region.

U8 and U9's to start.

SARNIA FUTSAL LEAGUE

DESCRIPTION: Another new futsal league has emerged for the players in Sarnia. It will operate 5 divisions this year and with past championship teams from AMF Ontario Cup it is sure to be a highly fun and competitive league to play in. They gave hosted their first OSA Futsal Coaching Seminar in October and will also host a futsal referee course this year to extend the knowledge of the game to its membership.

DATES: November-March. Kickoff November 5/6th.

GAMES: Unknown

DIVISIONS: U6-U8, U9-U10, U11-U12, U13-U15, U16-U18.

LOCATIONS: Lambton College, Alexander Mackenzie HS.
